ZIM – Cooperation Network


With its Central Innovation Program for SMEs (ZIM), the federal government promotes cooperation on innovative products, processes or technical services in a technologically or regionally oriented network or along a value chain.

As a network management institution, we organize long-term cooperation and support our partners in formulating and implementing joint R&D projects aimed at marketable, technology-based solutions.

Sensors and Networks in Agriculture
The new innovation network “SuNinLand – Sensors and Networks in Agriculture” will contribute to the digitalization of agriculture with innovative and user-driven technology developments starting in spring 2023.
Resilience, Integrity and Security of Municipal Infrastructures
In the new ZIM network “risKI – Resilience, Integrity and Security of Municipal Infrastructures”, small and medium-sized enterprises work together with research institutions in funded R&D projects on solutions to lead the infrastructure of municipalities and counties into the future.
Digitization and application of geodata in inland navigation
Shipping volume in Germany is predicted to grow significantly until the year 2030. It is estimated the shipping volume in freight traffic will increase by about one third. While other modes of transport are already reaching the limits of their capacity, waterways and in particular inland waterways still have considerable scope for expansion.
